Greengate Trust Celebrates Women this International Women’s Day
This International Women's Day, Greengate Trust is celebrating the incredible women we support around the world, from widows and orphaned girls in Pakistan to women seeking refuge at a local shelter in the UK.
To coincide with international women’s day, we have celebrated women through a number of projects this week..
In Pakistan: holding a women-focus food distribution in Pakistan, providing 310 hot meals, treats, and distribution to a community of widows and orphaned girls in a rural village of Rajanpur.
In the UK: working with a local housing shelter to provide the women with a treat bag, a small amount of luxuries that are often taken for granted, and dropped them off as a surprise. With your help, we will hopefully continue to support the shelter over the next year with key essentials, for those in need in our community.
Working on our new women-focused project: due to popular demand and feedback from our supporters, we are working hard to facilitate our first, women’s-only deployment. Keep an eye on our posts for more information!
Through our various projects, we strive to empower and uplift women, offering them not just essential support but also a sense of appreciation and care.
These projects highlight the importance of supporting women everywhere and showing gratitude for the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and daughters in our lives.
