Empowering the Next Generation to Make a Difference
This week, Greengate Trust had the privilege of participating in Kingsway High School's Interfaith Week.
In collaboration with our partners at Encouraging You, we engaged with Year 10 pupils through inspiring workshops. These sessions provided a platform to delve into the world of humanitarian work and explore the impactful projects undertaken by Greengate Trust.
Incorporating young minds into charitable endeavours is paramount.
It fosters empathy, compassion, and a sense of global responsibility. By actively involving children, we instil values of kindness and service, empowering them to become future change-makers.
The workshops at Kingsway High School were a testament to the power of young people. The students enthusiastically wrote heartfelt letters to the families residing in the refugee camps that Greengate Trust will be visiting in December. These letters, filled with warmth and support, will be personally delivered by our team, offering a tangible connection between the young people of Rochdale and those in need.
As we embark on our humanitarian mission to Jordan in December, we carry the hopes and dreams of these young students. Their letters will serve as a beacon of hope, reminding the refugee families that they are not alone.
Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates on our UK projects and the incredible impact of your support.
Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
