Pakistan Solar Water Well
The Prophet (PBUH) described providing drinking water as the best charity.
A well is a Sadaqah Jariyah: When you provide a water well to a vulnerable community, you reap the rewards for years to come.
CONTEXT
Q. How long will the well last?
A. Although it is impossible to give an exact lifespan, our wells will average between 10-15 years.
Q. Who looks after the maintenance of the well?
A. The team in Pakistan perform annual monitoring, should any maintenance work be needed, Greengate will cover the cost.
Q. How to get involved?
We are seeking charitable individuals to provide monthly donations of £25 per person to build wells and provide clean water to some of the most vulnerable communities throughout Pakistan. Each donor will earn the rewards of 12 wells and have 1 personalised plaque named after them or a loved one in a calendar year.
To take part in this beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah for a gift of life please follow the below steps:
Note* Each well costs £250 and will cover 10 individual donations, if 10 donations are not received a well cannot be fulfilled. We will only ask you to set up a standing order once we have a group of 10 confirmed. You can stop donating at any time by cancelling your standing order. A missed payment will result in removal.

Sadaqah Jariyah is a special kind of charity that benefits the recipients for an exceptionally long time. While others benefit from your charity, you too will receive rewards, meaning you will receive continuous rewards for a single donation.
The Holy Qur’an describes Sadaqah Jariyah as: “The charity of those who expend their wealth in the way of Allah may be likened to a grain of corn, which produces seven ears and each ear yields a hundred grains” {2:261}
