MY GREENGATE TRUST MADRASSA

Our Madrassa provides completely unique opportunities for the youth of this day and age. We teach the fundamental subjects of Islam such as Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, Tajweed, Arabic Language, Qurán, Urdu and a variety of other sacred knowledges to ensure our students receive essential Islamic studies from a very young age. By doing so we are nurturing them to become great assets of the Deen and pillars of our community.

Additionally, you are more than welcome to visit the Greengate Trust Madrassa, have a look around and see personally what we have to offer. You will have the chance to experience our facilities and teaching methods at first-hand, as well as asking the students any questions that you may have.

SUBJECTS WE TEACH

It is a duty upon every parent to insure their child receives the best Islamic education.

It is very important for us to get to know each and every student individually, to provide them with all the support and guidance they require.

TAJWEED & QURÁN

The students are taught Tajweed by Qari Bilal who has received a sanad in this subject.

They are taught both the theory as well as practical. Tajweed consists of learning and discussing each and every Arabic letter, from where it exits, how it is pronounced with all

its permanent and impermanent qualities / attributes and more.

Tajweed is a very important subject as reading the Qurán without it could lead to you making a grave mistake and committing sin. Also, there are many people who read the Qurán and the Qurán curses them such as those who recite it against the rules of Tajweed. Therefore we regard it as highly important and ensure each child is taught Tajweed from a young age.

FIQH

The year 1 students are now taught by the senior students. They have their lesson in Fiqh with Ustadh Jawad. In year 1 the students will learn all the aspects of purity and this will include: water impurity, cleansing oneself, ablution, ritual bath, dry ablution and more.

In year 2 students will focus more on prayer and the different areas within it such as: the different types of prayers, necessary and recommended components of prayer,

in-validators and offensive elements of the prayer, optional prayers and more.

SEERAH

In the first year the students will briefly learn about the prophets, beginning with Prophet Adam (Alayhisalaam). Moving onto the second year the students will study the life of the last and final Messenger (Peace and Blessings be upon Him). In the third year, shama’il will be taught where the students will study the intricate details of the last and final Messenger’s (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) appearance, belongings, manners and life.

AQEEDAH

Aqeedah refers to the matters which are believed in with complete certainty and conviction in ones heart and soul. There is no place for doubt or uncertainty in such matters. We place great importance upon this subject and ensure each child understands and knows what they believe in.

The year 1 students are taught by our senior students. They have their lesson in Aqeedah with Ustadh Jawad. They are taught the six pillars of Aqeedah which consists of belief in: Allah (swt), His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, The Last day and belief in al-Qadr (Predestination) - its good and evil.

MAWLID

In addition to these subjects, every Thursday  the Madrassa holds an assembly. This consists of announcements and rewarding well behaved and exceptional students. The assembly also involves recitation of nasheeds and qasida’s both collectively and individually. This allows students to feel more comfortable and increase in confidence.

SUNNAH SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

At Greengate Trust we have a range of fun activities for the students after Madrassa to take part in. We like to include Sunnah sports such as archery so the students can extract maximum benefit and stay fit and healthy. We also like to plan other fun activities such as trips to the cinema or to Blackpool as we believe it is important to treat the students for all their hard work  and dedication.
