Sharing the Spirit of Ramadan: Greengate Trust Celebrates Community and Inclusion

This Ramadan, Greengate Trust have embraced the spirit of the holy month by fostering cultural understanding and supporting those in need.

Over the last week, we have facilitated projects that celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures within our community. Recognising the importance of Ramadan for many faiths, these projects aim to promote inclusion, respect, and a deeper understanding of traditions.

We hosted a food parcel packing session held at a local primary school, Fountain House, of Five Rivers childcare. Greengate Trust were approached to support as part of the school’s community engagement less, with the aim of creating an enriching opportunity for these children to learn about Ramadan and the culture of giving, before they helped to assemble the food parcels for a local refugee support group.

Ramadan is a time for reflection, compassion, and helping others. By working alongside our community, we were not only able to provide essential support to refugees, but also create a space for open dialogue and understanding within a primary school setting.

Greengate Trust is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.  Our Ramadan initiatives are just one example of how we strive to bridge cultural divides and foster a spirit of understanding and support.

Together, we can build a stronger and more compassionate community for everyone!
